Welcome to BBDiet Dietitian Services. You have received this message from us because you have been referred by your GP from Top Health Doctors Beenleigh for dietitian support.

At BBDiet Dietitian Services, we are dedicated to helping you achieve your health and nutrition goals through personalised, evidence-based care. Our team of expert dietitians is here to support you on your journey toward better health, whether you’re managing a medical condition, seeking dietary advice, or simply wanting to build a healthier relationship with food.

Why did my GP refer me to a dietitian? You may have been referred to a dietitian due to a chronic condition like high cholesterol, high blood pressure, prediabetes, diabetes, or fatty liver disease. A dietitian offers evidence-based guidance on managing your health through everyday food choices.

What does a dietitian do? An Accredited Practicing Dietitian is a qualified professional who provides personalized nutrition advice based on your medical condition. Regulated by Dietitians Australia, they ensure evidence-based, ethical care. In a world full of conflicting and confusing nutrition information and myths, they help you find what’s safe and relevant while creating a tailored plan that suits your needs.

What conditions can a dietitian help with? We can assist with a range of medical conditions, including (but not limited to): •Acid reflux / GORD •Blood sugar / cholesterol / pressure control •Bone health / Nutrition deficiencies •Diabetes (Type 1, Type 2, gestational, others) •Eating disorder / disordered eating •Endometriosis / PCOS •Food intolerance and allergy •Gastrointestinal issues (IBS, IBD, persistent bloating, abdominal pain, constipation / diarrhoea etc) •Insulin resistance / Pre-diabetes •Kidney / liver / heart conditions •Low energy / fatigue •Poor growth •Thyroid health and conditions •Weight management (gain or loss)

How do Medicare referrals work? If you have a chronic condition, your GP may refer you through a care plan (e.g., Enhanced Primary Care Plan* or Eating Disorder Plan), allowing you to claim a $60.35 Medicare rebate per session. *The Enhanced Primary Care Plan covers up to five allied health visits per year. Claims may be rejected if you've exceeded this limit. A referral is not required to see a dietitian. We also accept private, DVA, and NDIS referrals.

Appointment options:

We offer 2 appointment options for you to choose from under your GP referral: Standard appointment (20mins) & Extended appointment (50-60mins). â€‹

Learn more about our standard appointments A nutrition assessment will be performed. Your dietitian will cover the essential areas to help you get started on your health journey. Your dietitian will assess your medical history, blood test results, eating habits and lifestyle, and then develop a personalised nutrition care plan for you. Review appointments are followed in a week or two or as required.

Learn more about our extended appointments Our extended appointments provide in-depth dietitian support to help you achieve your health and weight goals. We conduct a thorough nutrition assessment, considering your medical history, blood results, weight and diet history, eating habits, hormonal health, and gut health. For weight management, we address psychological barriers, emotional struggles, disordered eating, stress, and lifestyle factors before creating a personalized nutrition plan. You'll learn to work with your body, develop a healthy relationship with food, and nourish yourself without calorie counting. These sessions are ideal for those needing ongoing support for weight management, diabetes, gut health, or complex conditions.
