Bruschetta makes a quick, easy and delicious dish. Made of tomatoes, onions, garlic, basil and olive oil on grilled bread. Ready in less than 15 minutes!
4 medium vine-ripened Truss tomatoes, diced
2-4 cloves garlic, chopped
1/2 small red onion, finely chopped
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 tablespoon fresh basil, chopped
Unrefined sea salt and pepper, to taste
8 slices sourdough bread
Combine tomato, garlic, onion, basil, balsamic vinegar and oil in a bowl. Season with salt and pepper.
Toast slices of bread.
Top toasted slices with tomato mixture and garnish with sunflower sprouts or basil leaves. Serve immediately.
It’s also great to use as a quick base sauce for dishes such as cannelloni or lasagne.
Top with some fresh sunflower sprouts, coriander, basil, parsley, thyme or mint leaves as desired.
